Alice Jane Geswein, age 85, of Boswell, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at University Place in West Lafayette, IN where she was a resident.

She was born on August 31, 1940, in Salem, Indiana, to Emmett and Edna (Lykins) Albertson and grew up in Chase, Indiana. On April 25, 1959, she married Joseph Geswein, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and faith. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Joseph; their three children, Mark (Chris), Randy (Donna), and Rick (Kathy) Geswein; and eight grandchildren: Alyssa Hart, Jordan (Tyler) Jones, Braden (Ashley) Geswein, Bailey (Chandlor Weiss-Brinkman) Geswein, Mitchell (Reagan) Geswein, Nick Geswein, Brenna (Conner) Stockwell, and Neil (Kelsea Willey) Geswein She was also blessed with twelve great-grandchildren. Alice is also survived by her brothers, Fred and Jim Albertson, and her sister, Myrtle (Ed) Wattles. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings: Robert, Gerald, Stan and Rose Albertson, Marge Shultz, and Laura Lewis.

Beyond her family, Alice was deeply involved in her community. She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and participated in many groups including Study Club, Hobby Club, and Rosary Sodality. Alice was known for her warm smile, her delicious cakes, her wedding flower arrangements, and countless other crafts—there wasn't a craft she couldn't master. She especially loved her flower beds, crocheting, reading, baking, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with Rosary at 9:30 AM & visitation from 10 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2960 S. State Road 71, Fowler, IN (Dunnington), with Father Sean Aaron officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boswell-Grant Township Public Library, PO Box 315, Boswell, IN 47921. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, is assisting Alice's Family.
