Barbara "Aldeane" Davis , 90 of Otterbein, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at IU Health Hospital. She was born June 26, 1934 in Kouts, IN to the late Cyrus & Florence (Bales) Asher. She was a 1952 Graduate of Montmorenci High School. Aldeane married Wallace "Duane" Davis on March 15, 1953 in Montmorenci; he passed March 5, 2002.

Aldeane retired from CVS, previously known as OSCO. She was an active member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and loved helping the church by making prayer blankets and sending sympathy and birthday cards. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday "WWE Style" with family and friends. Aldeane never turned down a game of cards or marbles. She enjoyed embroidering, reading, and coloring while at home. Her family was of the utmost importance to her. Having a house full of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, along with a few stragglers, always put a smile on her face!  She will always be remembered for her homemade BBQ sauce.

Aldeane was preceded in death by her oldest son, Gary, and is survived by daughter-in-law, Susan Davis; daughter, Carol (RC) Hartley, 2 sons: Tom (Nadine) Davis & Greg (Carol) Davis; 5 grandchildren: Olivia (Drake) Sarault, Jeremy (Monica) Davis, Amanda (Trevor) Whaley, Scott Davis, & Adam Hartley; & 10 great-grandchildren: Kyra & Kole Davis; Ethan & Luke Sarault; Grace, Kate, & Claire Whaley; & Star, River, & Stormy Hartley. She is also survived by 4 nieces & 4 nephews. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers & 2 sisters: Max, Glenn "Spike", William "Bill", Beverly Asher & Helen Robbins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 5-7 PM at the Otterbein United Methodist Church 405 E. Oxford St., Otterbein, IN. Funeral Services will be at 10 AM, Thursday September 26, 2024 at the church, with Pastor Kelly Sellers & Pastor John Randall officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to be given to Otterbein United Methodist Church. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein is assisting Aldeane's family.
