Carol S. Neff , 81, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Friday, February 4.  She was born to the late Harold and Hazel Wilhelm.  Carol graduated from Otterbein High School and then attended Lafayette Business College after which she began working as a clerical typist at Purdue in the physics department where she retired after 33 years of service.

She married Perry Neff in December of 1976 and they spent 31 happy years together camping, gardening, and raising three rambunctious boys.  Carol was a lifelong and loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and Purdue sports, a fiery redhead, a tough woman, and a selfless mother and grandmother.  She was strong in her faith and played the organ at church for many years.

Carol is survived by her sister Paula (Dick); three sons Dennis (Kat), Dwight (Michele), and Jeff (Tina); and seven grandchildren Ariell (Frank), Chase, Evan, Cade, Grant, Calli, and Caitlyn.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Perry; brothers Ivan and Stanley; and sisters Loretta and Vesta.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, February 19 ^th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Shoemaker Funeral Home in Otterbein with a Celebration of Life to follow at 4:00 p.m.  Please dress casually.
