Carrie E. Tarter , 74, of Fowler, died, Monday, July 22, 2024. She was born December 14, 1949, in Lafayette, to the late Royal Warren & Magdalene Margret (Kemmer) Spencer. She attended Ambia High School. She married Rod Tarter, March 31, 1967, in Boswell; he survives. She formerly worked at Schumacher Electric Corp., in Hoopeston & was a caretaker for the elderly. Carrie enjoyed spending time with her family & close friends, crossword puzzles, cooking & fishing.

Carrie is survived by her Husband, Rod Tarter, 2 Sons, Josh (Sandra) Tarter & Jake Tarter & 2 Sisters, Nancy Woods & Darlene Kellems. She is preceded in death by a Brother, Sonny Spencer & Sister, Louise Hart.
