Cassandra Jane Hunter , 62, of Otterbein, died, Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was born, November 18, 1958, in Lafayette, & adopted by the late Austen & Iona (Rush) Lord. She married John Hunter, July 19, 1981, in Oxford; he survives. She attended Benton Central High School. She had previously worked at The Dugout, Otterbein Elementary School, Haan Crafts & Otterbein Nursing Home. Cassandra enjoyed spending time with her Grandson, crafting, cooking & canning, going on motorcycle rides, crocheting & was a talented jewelry-maker.

Surviving with her Husband, John, are Daughter, Christina Jones (Fiancé, Steve Doll), Grandson, Gabriel Jones, 3 Brothers, Denny Lord (Wife, Sandi), Dean Lord (Wife, Roxanne) & Less Lord & 2 Sisters-in-Law, Jeannie Sundqvist (Husband, Fred) & Bonnie Hoermann (Husband, Bill). She is preceded in death by 3 Brothers, Phillip, Bruce & Duane Lord, 2 Sisters, Joan & Alice Lord & her Mother & Father-in-Law, Dean & Ilene Hunter.

Visitation will be Friday, September 24, 2021 from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein. Burial will be at the Mound Cemetery.
