Clara Louise Hoaks , 84, of Oxford, died, Monday, October 10, 2022. She was born, April 3, 1938, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to the late Ervin & Velma (Stokes) Toy. She had attended Oxford High School. She married, Arthur Russell Hoaks, February 19, 1955, in Covington, IN; he died, April 17, 2009. She was a member & Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. Clara had worked for the Richard B. Cross Company (Oxford Gazette), the Benton Review & was co-owner & operator of Hoaks Hobby Shop, where she enjoyed making crafts, crocheting & most of all baking & decorating cakes for all occasions. Clara enjoyed bingo & music.

Clara is survived by 2 Sons, Russell (Jane Hampton) Hoaks & Rick Hoaks, Daughter, Robbyn Freeman, 2 Grandchildren, Brad (Christina) Hoaks & Andy (Angie) Hoaks, 3 Great-Grandchildren, Riley, Logan & Mackenzie Hoaks & 4 Siblings. She is preceded in death by 2 Siblings.

Visitation will be, Monday, October 24, 2022 from 10 AM until time of services at 12 PM, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, with Rev. Linda Sproull officiating.
