Colleen L. Harris , 95, of West Lafayette, died Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was born, October 29, 1927, in Owen County, IN, to the late Rex & Minnie (Coble) Minnick. She was raised by her Mother & Step-Father, Harvey Welty. She married, Homer Harris, January 12, 1946, in Spencer, IN; he died, October 29, 1977. She was a 1945 graduate of Cloverdale High School. Colleen was a farm wife, but had also worked at Purdue Apple Orchard, Purdue Library, Co-Op Elevator & as a Teacher Aide. Colleen enjoyed making quilts, sewing, going to garage sales & babysitting her grandkids & great-grandkids. She was always willing to help others.

Colleen is survived by her 2 Daughters, Darleen (Gary) Nelson & Linda (Mike) Sims, Son, Herbert (Linda) Harris, 8 Grandchildren, Mark & Lynette Nelson, Melissa, Kristopher & Dustin Sims & Jennifer, Patrick & Jeffrey Harris, 19 Great-Grandchildren & 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 8 Siblings.

Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2022, from 9 AM until time of services at 11 AM, with Pastor Gary Sims officiating, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forever Grace Church, PO Box 367, Otterbein, IN 47970.
