Donald D. Hayworth , 95, of Oxford, died Monday, January 2, 2023. He was born, May 5, 1927, in Hammond, IN, to the late Wilmer & Retha (James) Hayworth. He married, Emma Jean (Scott) Hayworth, May 14, 1949, in Montmorenci; she preceded him in death, August 29, 2009. He was a 1945 graduate of Montmorenci High School. Don was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps & had served aboard the USS E.A. Greene, DD-711. He retired as a Supervisor from Duncan Electric/Landis+Gyr. Don was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church & the Fowler American Legion Post #57. He enjoyed visiting with family & friends, traveling, music, camping, flea markets & attending the reunion of the crew of the USS E.A. Greene, DD-711.

Don is survived by a Daughter, Connie Shoemaker, Granddaughter, Desiree Daniel, Great-Granddaughter, Olivia Daniel, Sister, Beverly (Wally) Lank & 2 Brothers, Wayne (Dixie) Hayworth & Butch (Pat Booker) Hayworth. He is preceded in death by a Brother, Dean Hayworth.

A Celebration of Don's Life will be, Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 11 AM until time of Memorial Service at 1 PM, at the Oxford United Methodist Church, 215 South Howard Street, Oxford, with Pastor Linda Sproull officiating. In accordance with Don's wishes, casual attire is requested. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Oxford United Methodist Church. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, is assisting Don's Family.
