Donald Brice Slavens , 71, formerly of Oxford & Boswell, died, Friday, December 4, 2020. He was born, April 1, 1949, to the late John Quincy & Delia (Bell) Slavens. He had attended Oxford High School. He served in the Army & Army National Guard from 1975 until 1997. He had previously worked at Wal-Mart, AB Specialty, Gandy's Sawmill & Asgrow Seed. Don enjoyed spending time with his Family; especially his Grandkids, Westerns & trips to Kentucky for reunions.

Don is survived by his Son, Brice (DeDe) Slavens, Daughter, Rachel Slavens, 6 Grandchildren, Kylee, Courtney, Kaleigh & Camron Slavens & Kaden & Kendall Scearcy, Sister, Pauline Anderson & several Nieces & Nephews. He is preceded in death by 5 Brothers, his twin Brother, Ron "Big Babe", Wendall, Cecil, Bob & Clifford Slavens & 3 Sisters, Thelma Winchester, Reba Watson & Ruby Daniels.

Visitation will be, Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, from 11 AM until the time of services, at 1 PM, with Mark Hipps officiating. Burial to follow at Oxford West Cemetery. Casual attire is requested. (Due to the current pandemic, please wear your masks & practice social distancing.)
