Donna Jo Ruemler , 78, of Otterbein, passed away quietly with family by her side Monday, August 19, 2024.

Donna was born February 20, 1946 in Reynolds, Indiana to the late Lloyd & Audrey (Holmes) Schofield. She was raised a farm girl and was a 1964 graduate of Wolcott High School. Shortly after graduating, Donna married Art Ruemler on August 30, 1964 in Wolcott. Together they have resided in Otterbein for the past 50 years.

Donna's favorite hobby was shopping and she found joy in bird watching as well as hunting for arrowheads and mushrooms. She also loved spending time with family, especially with her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her Husband, Art Ruemler; 2 Daughters, Kim Thomason & Dr. Kelly Dirig (Ty Morris); 5 Grandchildren, Brandon (Morgan) Ruemler, McKenna Mitchell (Josh Beasley), Brock Thomason, Specialist Joshua Dirig & Jacob Dirig; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Boston & Cambry; a Brother, Denny Schofield; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a Son, Brian Scott Ruemler, her parents, and sister-in-law, Rosie.

A Celebration of Donna's Life will take place Saturday, October 26, from 1-4 PM, at Sportsman Inn Clubhouse, 12340 N. Upper Lakeshore Dr., Monticello, IN.
