Doris Ann Theresa Windler , 67, of Fowler, died, Wednesday, May, 19, 2021. She was born, March 12, 1954, in Fowler, IN to the late, James Emmett & Mary Josephine (Vogel) Illingworth. Doris attended Earl Park & Goodland Elementary Schools & was a 1973 graduate of Benton Central High School. Doris married William Windler; he preceded her in death, she married Thomas Stewart; he preceded her in death, she married R. Jack Steele; he preceded her in death. Doris had previously worked at Home Hospital, Benton Central High School, Sacred Heart Elementary School & the Benton County Surveyor's office. She was a member of Jolly Dozen Card Club & the Legion Auxilary. Doris enjoyed traveling to see her Children & Grandchildren, playing cards, college sports, crossword puzzles & playing video slots.

Doris is survived by her 6 Children, Gwen Windler (Sue Hamilton), Leo Windler (Eileen Layden), Luke Windler, Marie Wilcox (Sid), Jay Windler (Lizzie) & Craig Windler, 7 Grandchildren, Dalton & Cameron Wilcox, Emily, Kara, Lucy, Libby & Kendall Windler, & 4 Siblings, Sharon Epping, Mary Doring, Don Illingworth (Kay)& Julie Kerkhoff (Tim).

Services will be, Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 107 E. Main St, Fowler, with Rosary at 10 AM & Memorial Mass to follow, with Father Peter Vanderkolk officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fowler Community Center, Fowler-Center Township Fire Department or Sacred Heart Catholic School.
