Dorothy D. "Dottie" Lawson , 98, formerly of Boswell, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at University Place, West Lafayette. She was born, February 20, 1927, in Terre Haute, to the late Arthur & Dorothy (Schwebel) Dorsey. She married William "Bill" Lawson, November 14, 1948, in Terre Haute; they celebrated 60 years together, until his death, April 9, 2009. Dottie graduated from Wiley High School, in Terre Haute & Indiana University School of Business. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority & Tri Kappa.

Dottie was very proud of her family & is survived by her Daughter, Kay (Dave) Gephart, Grandson, Brad (Brooke) Gephart, Granddaughter, Suzanne (Joe) Cox, 5 Great-Grandchildren, Cara, Kendall & Annabelle Gephart & Molly & Tyler Cox, Sister, Pat Gillis & 4 Nieces & Nephews, Noel Lawson, Scott Gillis, Ann Armstrong & Pete Gillis. She is preceded in death by her Son, Jeff Lawson, Brother-in-Law, Mike Gillis & Brother-in-Law & Sister-in-Law, Bob & Flonnie Lawson.

A private Family graveside service will be held at the Boswell Cemetery.
