Edna Messman , 89, of Boswell, died, Wednesday, January 16, 2019. She was born August 27, 1929, in Somerset, KY, to the late Lafayette & Thursa Vaughn. She married, Raymond Hislope, September 18, 1947, in Otterbein; he died, August 22, 1953. She then married, Joe Messman, January 12, 1963, in Earl Park; he died, March 3, 1979. Edna was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Oxford & the Earl Park American Legion Post #455. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, bird watching, needle work, cooking, baking, canning, jigsaw puzzles & most of all her Family.

Edna is survived by 2 Daughters, Betty (James) Dwenger & Sharon Dutton, 2 Sons, Rick (Gloria) Messman & Joe (Bobbette) Messman, 4 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren & 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 5 Sisters & 4 Brothers.

Visitation will be, Saturday, January 19, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 504 S. Michigan St., Oxford, from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM, with Father Robert Klemme officiating. Burial, immediately following, at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Earl Park.
