Essie Mae Muse , 93, of Rochester & formerly of Boswell, died Sunday, June 30, 2024. She was born March 30, 1931, in Naomi, KY, to the Talmage & Ottie (Dagley) Daulton Van Hoosier. She married Denver Muse, June 1, 1948, in Cincinnati, OH; he preceded her in death, August 31, 2003. Essie loved to cook & travel & was known for her homemade pies.

Essie is survived by her Son, Richard (Lisa) Muse, 3 Daughter-in-Laws, Kallie Muse, Patricia Muse & Gwen Muse, 6 Grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren, several Great-Grandchildren & Great-Great-Grandchildren & a Brother, Wayne Daulton. She is preceded in death by3 Sons, Roger, Robert & Ralph Muse, Grandson, Tony Muse, 2 Sisters, Edna Lagory & Marie Muse & 2 infant Brothers.

Visitation will be, Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, from 11 AM until the time of services at 1 PM, with Pastor Gary Sims officiating. Burial to immediately follow at Boswell Cemetery. Casual attire is requested by Essie's family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Boswell Free Methodist Church, PO Box 367, Boswell, IN 47921.
