Floyd R. Snethen , 82, of Lafayette IN passed away January 24, 2024 with his family by his side.  He was born in Lafayette to Floyd Snethen and Martha Waymire.  He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 25 years, Janet, four sons Dennis (Kat), Dwight (Michele), Jeff (Tina), and Jim (Cindy) and two daughters Tammie (Jeff) and Amanda. He also leaves behind two stepsons Jim (Julie) and John (Jody) and 18 grandchildren Ariell (Frank), Chase, Evan, Cade, Grant, Calli, Jordan, Payton, Caitlyn, DJ, Tony, Matt, Andrew, Liz, Dilynn, Rylan, Cameron, and Carson.

He was a jack of all trades working as an electrician as well as owning a shoe repair shop and a HVAC and plumbing business.

Floyd was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lafayette serving as the President of the Sports Club.  He enjoyed golfing and watching NASCAR, was a sports enthusiast and avid wood worker, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
