Geraldine A. Smith , 96, of Boswell, passed away peacefully July 29, 2024. She was, born December 31, 1927, in Los Angeles, California, the only daughter of the late Walter Edwin & Melvin Goldie (Dailey) Pries & moved to Boswell, when she was 12 years old. She was a 1946 graduate of Boswell High School. She married Robert Lee Smith, in August 1947; they divorced, after 46 years of marriage & Geraldine remained in Boswell where she was blessed with wonderful neighbors. She loved her family, loved being a mother & was talented in many areas including gardening, canning, sewing, plus many other creative projects. She was active in the community & was a wonderful Girl Scout leader. Geraldine also worked for Dr. Robert Leak for a number of years. She loved going to auctions & adding to her various collections. In her later years she loved playing euchre & met Leonard Broe. It was a treat to observe the care & love they developed for each other. Leonard passed away April 7, 2024. Geraldine's last 2 years were spent at the Caldwell House, in Earl Park; where she was fortunate to live with other ladies who love to play cards.
Geraldine is survived by her Daughter, Diana Marie Reed, Daughter-in-Law Carol Smith, 2 Granddaughters, Heidi (Neil) Chawkins & Kimberly (Jeff) Kult, Grandson, Michael (Mindy) Rohan & 7 Great-Grandchildren, Rose & Ben Chawkins & Chaz, Christopher & Caison Sylvester & Michael & Mya Rohan. She was preceded in death by 2 Sons, Donald Ray Smith & Bryan Todd Smith & Son-in-Law, Alan Joseph Reed.

Graveside Services will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Boswell Cemetery, with Pastor Gary Sims officiating. A Celebration of Geraldine's Life will take place at a later date.
