Helen C. Kochell , 93, of Talbot, died Monday, September 30, 2024. She was born March 13, 1931, in Westville, IL, to the late Antone & Anna (Stankevich) Balsis. She was a 1948 graduate of Westville High School. She married Rex W. Kochell, Sr. November 27, 1948, in Danville, IL; he preceded her in death, June 18, 1989. She was a member of the Talbot Missionary Baptist Church. Helen loved spending time with her family; especially her Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren & Great-Great- Grandchild. She enjoyed going to church, cooking, yard sales & dancing.

Helen is survived by a Daughter, Judy Daulton, 2 Sons, Rex Kochell, Jr. & Ronnie (Karen) Kochell, 13 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren & 1 Great-Great- Grandchild. She is preceded in death by a Daughter, Linda Sams, 2 Granddaughters, Tracy Ross & Katherine Thomas, 2 Great-Grandchildren, Haley Sams, 4 Sisters & 7 Brothers.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 11 AM until time of Funeral Services at 1 PM, at the Talbot Missionary Baptist Church, 7040 South 680 West, Fowler, IN, with Brother James Elrod officiating. Burial will be at Locust Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Talbot Missionary Baptist Church. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein is assisting Helen's family.
