Ileta Pauline Davis , 93 of West Lafayette & formerly of Otterbein area, died, Friday, September 7, 2018. She was born October 20, 1924, in , to the late Joseph Monroe & Clara Elizabeth (Watkins) Van Horn. She was a 1943 graduate of Pine Village High School. She married Grant Davis, April 17, 1944, in Otterbein; he died, December 25, 2012. Ileta had worked as a Long-Distance Operator for Indiana Bell & had also worked for Purdue University at Shreve Hall. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxilary Unit 11 & Lafayette Historic Auto Club. She enjoyed pitching horseshoes, watching the Chicago Cubs & Atlanta Braves & Reading.

She is survived by 2 Daughters, Linda Beardsley & Rita (Sam) Foster, 7 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren & many Step-Grandchildren & Step-Great-Grandchildren, 2 Brothers, Joe Van Horn & Richard (Paula) Van Horn & 4 Sisters, Joan McGlothlin, Jane (Gary) Story, Betty (Paul) Marsch & Mary (Ron) Gamble. She is preceded in death by Son-in-Law, Bob Beardsley, Brother, E.F "Spud" Van Horn & 4 Sisters, Josephine Shoaf, Marie Bowyer, Fannie Davis & Dottie Johnson.

Visitation will be, Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, with Rev. Joe Park & Pastor Gary Sims officiating. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
