Jane Hampton Hoaks , 67, of Oxford & formerly of Otterbein. Born February 2, 1956 concluded her battle with cancer on the morning of August 24, 2023

Jane was the first born to Barbara Joyce Johnson Hampton and James Lee Hampton, followed by her brother Jeremy Lee Hampton. Jane also had a brother Bruce Ferguson and a sister Juli Thompson and an Aunt Susie Gray. Jane was raised in Otterbein, IN. She graduated from Benton Central in 1974 where she fostered a continuing love for theater and performing arts.

Jane devotedly raised her three children, Joshua Robert Foley, Jason Andrew Foley, and Jeri Lynn Foley in West Lafayette, IN. She worked and supported her family while earning a degree with honors in IT in 2006.

After unknowingly meeting her future husband in 7th grade, Jane married Russell Ervin Hoaks on December 18, 2009.

Jane was an avid reader, knitter, sewer, and active in community theaters such as Civic Theater and Chancel Players, but her absolute bliss in life became her grandchildren. Jay Michael Paul, Kat Olivia Paul, Augustine Clover Hintz, Vonn Edward Paul, Riley Elizabeth Hoaks, Logan Dean Hoaks, and Mackenzie Nicole Hoaks were forever fortuitous to have her as their grandmother.

She worked for Tippecanoe County Government MITS for 20 years before retiring on October 29, 2021.

Jane's colossal personality, ultimate wit, and authentic warmth impacted everyone she ever met, be it total strangers or best friends. She is unforgettable and irreplaceable.
