Jayne Ann (Martin) Hale

Survived by her Husband of 59 years, Raymond L. Hale; Children, Stephen, Angela, Rebecca, Christopher, Benjamin, Matthew; 15 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Judith Ray & Jennifer Martin, a Brother, John Martin, plus numerous Nieces & Nephews.

Jayne is preceded in death by her Parents, John A. & Gene E. (Channell) Martin.

Her Father joined the United States Army after the bombing of Pearl Harbor & served in the Pacific, afterwards making a career of the Army. He & his Family were stationed in several places as Jayne & her Siblings were growing up. She especially enjoyed living in West Germany from 1952-1955. Places they lived were: Oklahoma City, OK (1941), Binger, OK (1943), Los Alamos, NM (1946), Seattle, WA (1947), Falls Church, VA (1950), Bad Nauheim, Germany (1952), Frankfurt, Germany (1954), Independence, MO (1955), Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN (1957 & Norman, OK (1959).

Jayne met the Love of Her Life at Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN. She & Raymond L. Hale, were married in 1960, made a home in Oxford, IN & had 6 Children. Ray was also from an Army Family & he & Jane both loved to travel. Together they traveled to Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, England, Mexico, Costa Rica, Japan & Belgium.

Jayne was a sewing enthusiast who loved to crochet, embroider & do needlework. Jayne won awards for her embroidery & crocheting.

Jayne was an avid reader. She was a Master Gardener & loved growing various varieties of beautiful flowers.

After working 20 years with the United States Postal Service, Jayne retired.

Jayne was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister & Friend. She was loved & will be greatly missed.

Graveside Service will be at, 11 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Justus Cemetery, 805 South Howard Street, Oxford, IN, with Pastor Linda Smock officiating.
