Mary Joan Best , 85, of Otterbein, died, Friday, April 17, 2020. She was born, July 26, 1934, in Oxford, to the late Clarence & Lillian Hall. She had attended Oxford High School. She married, James A. Best, Sr., March 17, 1951, in Oxford; he died, November 1, 2005. Joan was an avid Chicago Cubs fan & enjoyed bingo, playing the lottery, reading, bowling, crosswords & jigsaw puzzles. Joan is survived by 3 Sons, James A. (Sandi) Best, Jr., John F. Best & Jayson R. Best, Daughter, Marla J. (Delbert) Staggs, 3 Grandchildren, Ben Staggs, Lucy Pope & Dawson Best, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Jaycee, Kamryn & Ryland Staggs & Cash Pope, Brother, Clifford "Bill" (Marge) Hall & 2 Sisters, Sue Burton & Dorothy Silvers. She is preceded in death by Grandson, Isaac Best & 2 Brothers, Clarence Jr. & Norman Hall.
