Joanna "JoJo" Kaye Dixon , 47, of Independence, unexpectedly passed away, Thursday April 12, 2018, in her home. She was born August 2, 1970, in Lafayette, to Thomas and Grace (Phelps) Dixon. Joanna grew up in Oxford where she attended Benton Central High School. She worked at Oxford House for the last 16 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and spent countless hours at her country home doing what she loved most, gardening, watching the wildlife, and hanging out with her beloved dog Jessie. She was a diehard fan of the New England Patriots and Indiana Hoosier Basketball.

Joanna is survived by her Parents, Thomas and Grace Dixon, Companion, Ron Freeman, 2 Sisters, Teresa (Larry) Herriott & Jami (Kyle) Clute, 3 Brothers, Brad Dixon, Joe (Kelli) Dixon & Jay (Kim) Dixon, 10 Nieces and Nephews & 5 Great-nieces & Nephews.

She was preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents, Walter Dixon & Oliver & Lexie Kilgrove, Maternal Grandparents, Bernard & Stella Phelps & Nephew, Kevin Lindstrom.

A gathering of Family & Friends, to Celebrate Joanna's Life, will take place from 12-2PM, Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Oxford Lions Club, 708 N. 5th St., Oxford, IN.
