Joseph Francis Douglas , 70, of Remington, died, Saturday, March 19, 2022. He was born January 4, 1952, in Lafayette, to the late John J. & Edna C. (Morris) Douglas. He married, Diane (Zollman) Douglas, October 14, 1972, in Remington; she survives. Joe was a 1971 graduate of Benton Central High School & a 1982 graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. He worked as the Otterbein Town Marshal for 23 years; retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Police League of Indiana, Indiana Association of Chiefs of Police, Illiana Antique Power Association & Civil Defense.

Surviving with his Wife, Diane Douglas, are 5 Sons, Anthony Douglas, Adam (Charity) Douglas, Steve (Sheryl) Douglas, Bill (Stephanie) Douglas & Josh (Stacey) Douglas, 12 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild & a Sister, Rosemary (Kenneth) Stoffel.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Shoemaker Funeral Home in Otterbein, from 11 AM until time of services at 2 PM, with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating.
