Joseph Michael Sanford , 40, of Oxford, died, Saturday, March 7, 2020. He was born, November 13, 1979, in Lafayette, to the late Kenneth H. Sanford, Jr. & Mary (Nidunow) Sanford Kirts. He was a 1998 graduate of Benton Central High School & a 1999 graduate of University of Northwestern Ohio. He married, Elizabeth "Betsy" (Andrews) Sanford, May 18, 2002, in Fowler; she survives. He was employed at Caterpillar, in Lafayette, in Machine Repair. Joe was a hard working family man. He loved being with his kids & wife doing various activities including good hearted family game competitions. He was the biggest motivator for his children & other children by coaching little league teams, in Fowler. Joe loved going to the Horror Film convention every year where he met many celebrities. He was a huge Boston Red Sox fan & had a healthy rivalry with his brother Adam who is a New York Yankees fan. He was able to attend a game, between the two teams, with his wife in a trip of a lifetime to London, England, as well as Scotland, Ireland & Iceland. He was loved by many and will truly be missed by many. He loved the USA & Donald Trump.

Joe is survived by, his Wife, Betsy, their 3 kids, Nicolas, Lincoln & Olivia Sanford, Mom, Mary (George) Kirts, Brother, Adam (Amy) Sanford, Step-Sister, Danielle (Andrew) Hull, 3 Brothers-in-Law, Ryan (Julianne) Andrews, Trevor (Ashton) Andrews & Trent Remsburg, Nieces & Nephews, Abbie, Aidan, Ace & Ava Sanford, Lex & Trinity Hull, Kennedy, Brody, Rowan & Sawyer Andrews, Mother-in-Law, Christine (James) Remsburg & Father-in-Law, Craig Andrews. He is preceded in death by his Dad, Kenneth H. Sanford, Jr., Maternal Grandparents, Nick & Natalie Nidunow & Paternal Grandmother, Mary Ellen Sanford.

Visitation, to Celebrate Joe's Life, will be Friday, March 13, 2020, from 10 AM until the time of services at 1 PM, at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 405 E. Oxford St., Otterbein, IN, with Pastor Ben Cassiday officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, 1441 E. Riverview Rd, Monticello. Casual attire is requested.
