Joseph D. "JD" Wethington , 65, of Fowler, passed away, Monday, August 6, 2018. He was born November 6, 1952, in Lebanon, IN, to the late Walter & Stella Mae (Garrett) Wethington. He was a 1971 graduate of Pine Village High School. He retired from the National Guard, having served in Iraq. He had recently retired from the Indiana Department of Transportation. He married Kay (Knight) Wethington, July 22, 2005 in Fowler; she survives.  JD was a member of the Fowler American Legion Post 57 & Fowler Am Vets Post 102. He enjoyed spoiling his Grandchildren & Great-Grandchild, cooking, woodworking, splitting wood, hunting & attending the Illiana Antique Power Association Show. He had the privilege to be a part of the Greater Lafayette Honor Flight.

Surviving with his Wife, Kay Wethington, are 6 Children, Randy Wethington, John Wethington, Cory Wethington (Wife, Jodi), Kyle Smith, Rhonda Winters & Ty Matson, 18 Grandchildren, a Great-Grandchild, 2 Sisters, Louise Adams & Betty Weyls & 3 Brothers, James Wethington, J. Ray Wethington (Wife, Vicki) & Jeff Wethington (Wife, Brigitte). He is preceded in death by 4 Sisters, Charlotte Christman, Aline Wethington, Madeline Wethington & Bernice Wethington & a Brother, Walter Wethington.

A Celebration of JD's Life will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 2-6 PM with Military Honors at 4 PM, at the Fowler American Legion Post 57, 400 E. 5th St., Fowler. Casual Attire is requested.
