Joyce L. Campbell Tolen , 76, of Boswell, died early afternoon Nov. 13, 2018, at IU Arnett in Lafayette.

She was born Dec. 27, 1941 to Loren Campbell and Helen Perrin Campbell Perry in Boswell.  She married the late Paul J. Tolen, Jr. in 1958.  She was also preceded in death by both parents, a sister Lorna Dimmich Adwell, and an Uncle Wayne Campbell.

Mrs. Tolen is survived by her four children—Kimberly Guerrero (Jerry), Paul L. Tolen III (Angie), Cassie Goodwine (Joe), and Trent W. Tolen (Brenda), all of Boswell.  Other survivors are sister Sue Abbott of Boswell, John Campbell (Renee) of Indianapolis, grandchildren Lindsay Tolen Beardsly of Virginia, Elizabeth LaPointe of Tennessee, Kalena Crisp of Frankfort, Chelsie Goodwine of Indianapolis, Benjamin Guerrero of Boswell, Nathan Peck of Evansville, and Randy Cook and Tara Kowal, of Lafayette.  Great grandchildren include Tristen Tolen and Annabelle Beardsly, Aedan Martin, Kyler Eads, and Ethan Burton, as well as Evelyn and Joseph LaPointe.

Mrs. Tolen belonged to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oxford.  She attended Boswell High School and her interests included hosting a sometimes twice daily Coffee Klatsch for her friends and family such as special cousins Marie Foster and Marla Witt.  She also enjoyed cooking home-style meals that were comparable to none, fashion, watching wildlife, and a love of Elvis Presley.  Family was always priority for Mrs. Tolen.

The family wishes to thank special friend Jenifer Crisp of Boswell and the staff and residents at Green Hill Manor in Fowler.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at the Boswell Church of Christ, 310 S. Clinton Street, Boswell, IN, with services being conducted at 1 pm by her great grandson Tristen Tolen, who is studying to become a minister.  A private family burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Oxford.  Pall bearers will be her grandsons and granddaughters.
