Julia "Judy" Ruth Pluimer-Solomon , 74, passed away on October 29, 2021; surrounded by her mother, son, Jason & her siblings, she was born September 3, 1947, in Oxford, the oldest of 7 children, to Ruth (Zink) Pluimer & the late LaMoine Pluimer. She was a 1965 graduate of Otterbein High School & attended Indiana University, in Bloomington. She married Edward Solomon & lived in Muncie, IN. She lived in Harrisburg, PA, Ypsilanti, MI, Ann Arbor, MI & Naperville, IL, before moving to Boca Raton, FL with her husband & 4 children.

As she raised her children, Judy devoted her time to running & organizing many fundraisers for various charities; but the one she loved the most was fundraisers for her children's school, St. Jude Academy, of Boca Raton, Fl. Judy was very active in the ARC of The Palm Beaches. Judy & Ed built a successful mortgage business; The Addison Mortgage Group of Boca Raton, FL, Judy was a top originator before she retired after 25 years. After returning to Benton County, Julia joined the Oxford Lion's Club & was very active. She was Vice President for 5 years & served on the Dan Patch Days committees. As a hobby, she was known for decorating birthday & wedding cakes for her family & friends.

Her pride & joy in life were her children, grandchildren & family.

Judy is survived by her Mother, Ruth Helen Pluimer, 4 Children, Dawn Rene Solomon, Oxford, IN, Heather (Tim) Finewood, Mount Gilead, NC, Christian (Amber) Solomon, Mount Gilead, NC, and Jason (Heather) Solomon, San Diego, CA, 8 Grandchildren, Tyler & Cameron Finewood, Cayla, Haley, Kelsee Rose, Dylan, Gavin & Michaela Solomon & 5 Siblings, Jane (Lin) Bice, West Lafayette, Michael (Mary Jane) Pluimer, West Lafayette, Dianna (John) Brown, Boswell, IN, Debra (David) Arnoldi, Ann Arbor, MI, & Karen Ahlbrand, Oxford, IN. She was preceded in death by her Father, LaMoine Pluimer, Sister, Mary Kathryn "Kate" Pluimer & Brother-in-Law, Gary McGriff.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 11 AM until the time of Memorial Mass at 1 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 504 S. Michigan St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be given to Benton County Special Needs, Inc.
