Larry D. Owens , 83, of Otterbein, died Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He was born, August 20, 1941, in Wolcott, to the late Van T. & Lucille J. (Johnson) Owens. He was a 1959 graduate of Wolcott High School. He married, Betty (McFall) Owens, 1962, in Fowler; she survives. He worked for various commercial construction companies in Lafayette, including Davis Construction & Criterion Construction. He retired as a Carpenter at Camp Tecumseh; the place he enjoyed working the most. Larry enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, collecting coins & watching the Chicago Cubs & Indianapolis Colts on TV.

Surviving with his Wife, Betty Owens, is 2 Sons, Larry K. (Carrie) Owens & Mike (Beth) Owens, 6 Grandchildren, Erica (Daniel) Epling, Alison (Keith) Scheller, Sara (Dan) Randall, Aurora Owens, David (Valerie) Owens & Caleb Owens, 10 Great-Grandchildren, Sister, Barbara Howland & Sister-in-Law, Maxine Pearman. He is preceded in death by an infant Daughter, Sheri Lynn Owens, Sister & Brother-in-Law, Kathryn "Katie" (Richard) Krintz, Sister-in-Law & Brother-in-Law, Marilyn (Von) Tucker & 3 Brother-in-Laws, Jim McFall, Robert Howland & Alec Pearman.

Visitation will be held, Monday, September 16, 2024, at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 405 E. Oxford St., Otterbein, IN with visitation from 10 AM until services at 11 AM, with Pastor Kelly Sellers officiating. Burial will be at Wolcott Cemetery.
