Lela Mae Craig , 92, of Fowler, died, Monday, December 25, 2023. She was born, January 7, 1931, in Talbot, to the late Harry & Adda (Hinton) Helmerick. She was a 1949 graduate of Boswell High School. She married, John Robert "Bob" Craig, February 26, 1950, on the Helmerick Farm, in Talbot; he preceded her in death, June 11, 1986. Lela Mae was a member of the Fowler United Methodist Church & a Lifetime member of the Benton County Historical Society. She served as the Benton County Recorder for 9 years. She enjoyed horses, horseback riding & cats.

Lela Mae is survived by a Daughter, Amy Craig, 2 Sons, Curtis (Tammy) Craig & Kim (Tam) Craig, 3 Grandchildren, Colby Craig, Kelsey (John) Bechman & Danica Craig & 1 Great-Grandchild, Finn Bechman. She was preceded in death by, her Husband, Bob, Parents, Harry & Adda Helmerick & loving Step-Mom, Marjorie Helmerick.
