Lindus V. (Nunnally) Chambers , 98, of Fowler & formerly of Boswell, Indiana, passed away peacefully following a short illness on January 28, 2026, at Williamsport Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born on June 23, 1927, in Templeton, Indiana, to the late Samuel and Icie (Wilkinson) Coffman, and grew up in Oxford, Indiana and graduate from Oxford High School. On July 26, 1947, Lindus married Kenneth L. Nunnally. Together they raised three sons. Kenneth preceded her in death in 1979.

While married to Kenny, Lindus helped own and operate the Nunnally Bar and Grill. She later followed her lifelong passion for fashion, opening a women's clothing store, The Fashion Shop, on Main Street in Boswell. Her success there led to a second location in Monticello, Indiana. Lindus proudly ran her business for 30 years before retiring in 1992.

On December 18, 1992, she married Ves P. Chambers of Fowler. Lindus and Ves enjoyed spending their winters in Sebring, Florida, where they loved playing cards with family and friends, taking long drives, and going out for dinner together. Ves preceded her in death on December 8, 2021.

Lindus dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and extended family, and treasured time spent with them. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dennis "Butch" Nunnally, and her brother, Charles Coffman.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Joan) Nunnally and Terry (Robin) Nunnally; her stepsons, Denny, Chris, and Mark Chambers; five grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be Monday, February 2, 2026 from 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, with Pastor Gary Sims officiating. Burial to follow at Boswell Cemetery.
