Martha Gretencord , 87, formerly of Fowler, died, Sunday, May 2, 2021; surrounded by her loving Family. She was born January 16, 1934, in Kentland, to the late Meddie F. & Romana (Cunningham) Sego. She married William "Bill" Gretencord, November 8, 1958 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church; he died, August 24, 2016. Martha graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing & had worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital & for Dr. Hugh McAdams. Martha was also a dedicated Farm Wife. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Charles Catholic Church & St. Mary's & St. Charles Rosary Societies. Martha's greatest joy was caring for her Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren & following all of their activities. She enjoyed gardening, flowers & camping. She was an avid sports fan especially Purdue Women's basketball.

Surviving are 2 Daughters, Joyce Hoffman (Mike) & Jenny Douglas (Pat), 12 Grandchildren, Mary Gretencord (Wyatt Long), Bryan Gretencord (Morgan), Holly Gretencord (Joe Young), Kayla Dhankhar (Ashish), Rick Douglas (Heather), Neil Douglas, Josephine Douglas, Andy Douglas, Anna Douglas, Lexy Hoffman, Amy Bishop (Brady) & Willie Hoffman, 11 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Sisters, Lorraine Sego & Alice Silver & Sister-in-Law, Pat Sego. She is preceded in death by Son & Daughter-in-Law, Joe & Shelly Gretencord, 4 Sisters, Mary Anstett, Theresa Sego, Jeanette Voglund & Romana Sego, 2 Brothers, Msgr. Arthur Sego & Tom Sego & a Step-Great-Grandson.

Visitation will be, Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 12 PM, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2960 S. State Road 71, Fowler, IN, with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating. Rosary will be at 11:45 AM. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Dunnington.
