Matthew Glenn Slavens , 48, of Fowler, died, Tuesday, August 16, 2022. He was born, October 1, 1973, in Lafayette, to George Kenneth & Rebecca Ann (Pritchett) Slavens. He was a 1992 graduate of Benton Central High School & attended Ivy Tech & Indiana State University. He was currently employed at Tate & Lyle & had previously worked at Cat Logistics. He had previously lived in Arizona, Florida & Georgia. Matt was a diehard Los Angeles Rams & Miami Marlins fan. He loved the Air Force & all things military. He enjoyed fishing, golf & loved animals.

Matt is survived by his Mom, Rebecca Slavens, Brother, Clayton Kenneth Slavens, 3 Uncles, Boston "Butch" (Linda) Pritchett, Kevin (Tammy) Pritchett & Ernest Pritchett, Aunt, Patsy (Mark) Richter & several Cousins. He is preceded in death by his Dad, George Kenneth Slavens, Maternal Grandparents, Patrick Evans & Velma Ruth Pritchett & Paternal Grandparents, Ivan Glenn & Juanita Marie Slavens.

A Celebration of Matt's Life will be, Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 1 PM until time of Memorial Service at 3 PM, at the Fowler Christian Church, 106 N. Madison Ave., Fowler, with Pastor Kirk Zimmerman officiating. Family requests casual attire. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Fowler Christian Church.
