Melissa K. Morris , 56, of Oxford, died Tuesday, June 16, 2026; after a brief illness. She was born May 10, 1970, in Lafayette to Kath Winchester. She married Shane Morris, July 17, 2004, in Oxford; he survives. She attended Benton Central High School & graduated from Ivy Tech, with a degree in Nursing. Missy had been a Registered Nurse since 2003, formerly working at Serenity Hospice & was currently working at Anew Hospice. She had a true love for her patients. She was an active member of the Nursing Honor Guard. Missy loved spending time with her family & friends. She loved her cats & koi pond & enjoyed gardening & country living.

Missy is survived by her Husband, Shane, Son, Travis Nantz, Step-Daughter, Cheyanne Morris, Mom, Kathy Winchester, 2 Sisters, Billie (Tommy) Jennings & Ashley Wilson, 6 Nieces, 4 Nephews & 1 Great-Niece. She is preceded in death by an infant Son, Matthew, infant Daughter, Marissa, Mother-in-Law, Grandparents, Aunt & Uncle.

A visitation to celebrate Missy's life will be Monday, June 22, 2026, from 4 PM until time of Nightingale Tribute Ceremony; by the Nursing Honor Guard, at 7 PM immediately followed by Memorial Service, at the Oxford Church of Christ, 402 N 5th St, Oxford, IN, with Larry McMillan & Chuck Smith officiating.
