Paul W. Ade , 87, of West Lafayette, died, Tuesday, July 25, 2023. He was born April 29, 1936, in Lafayette, to the late William & Edith (Whitman) Ade. He was a 1954 graduate of Montmorenci High School; where he was a strong competitor in baseball & basketball. After high school he attended Purdue University Ag Short Course & served in the National Guard. He married, the love of his life, Janice (White) Ade, May 27, 1967; she preceded him in death, November 26, 2015. Paul devoted his life to his loving wife, Janice. He was a life-long farmer until the day he passed. He was a member of the Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church. Paul's favorite hobby was his grandchildren & watching them grow up & following all the activities they were involved in; he was extremely proud of each of them. He loved driving around checking crops, traveling, playing cards & was an avid sports fan; especially Indiana University. He also enjoyed taking Sunday drives, with his wife & getting ice cream along the way. He was one of the nicest, kindest men you would ever meet & would do anything for anybody.

Paul is survived by his Daughter, Alicia Reed (Husband, Ryan), Daughter-in-Law, Cindy Ade, 7 Grandchildren, Katelin, Emily, Conner, Kacie & Carly Ade & Liam & Aubree Reed & 2 Great-Grandchildren, Steven & Axel Theesfeld. He is preceded in death by beloved Son, Steven Ade & Sister, Phyllis Ade.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 11 AM until the time of services at 2 PM, at Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church, 7720 N. Armstrong Chapel Rd., West Lafayette, IN 47906, with Pastor Darin Hendrey officiating. Burial will be at Asbury Cemetery.
