Raymond E. May, Sr. , 81 of Lafayette, died, Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was born, April 14, 1942, in Lafayette, to the late Lawrence Raymond May & Emma (Risner) May Chrisman. He was a 1960 graduate of Pine Village High School. He married Elizabeth (Early) May, October 19, 1962, in Greenhill; she preceded him in death, March 30, 2005. He served in the United States Air Force. Ray was self-employed working in construction & maintenance his entire life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing bingo & randomly dropping in on people for morning coffee.

Ray is survived by his 4 Children Jeannine "Susie" (Bob) Stinson, Beverly (Steve) Johnson, Raymond E. (Carrie) May, Jr. & Lawrence "Lonnie" (Julie) May, Companion, Belinda King, 14 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren, 4 Sisters, June Johnson, Patricia Keller, Sandra (Butch) Hands & Deanie Delaney & numerous Nieces & Nephews. He is preceded in death by 1 Grandchild, 2 Great-Grandchildren, Step-Father, George Chrisman & longtime Best Friend, Lee Priest.

A Celebration of Ray's Life will be Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 2-4 PM, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein. Casual attire is requested by Ray's Family.
