Retha Sue Gerrity Bruner left our world on October 16, 2018, at the age of 93. She was born July 8, 1925 to the late Eugene and Susie (Hettrick) Gerrity. Retha grew up on a farm just outside of Pine Village Indiana. She graduated from PV High in 1944. In 1945 she received her license from Indianapolis Beauty College but gave up the beautician profession because of a chemical reaction to her hands. Retha met Paul Bruner, a Benton County boy at the county fair. They married and made their home in Templeton. Retha remained in Templeton after they divorced until the early 1970s when she moved to Oxford. She and Paul have 4 Children, Peggy (Bill) Anderson, Russell (Bev) Bruner, Dennis (Linda) Bruner, Benita (Gil) Smith all of Oxford.  9 Grandchildren, Tony Anderson, Keri Trittipo, Kurt Anderson, Tracie Hawk, Shelly Furr, Kendra Hudson, Jessica Etter, Jason and Jayme Smith, 27 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great-Grandchildren, with another one on its way. After retirement, from 23 years working for North American Philips as a components tester she worked part time for Oxford Meals on Wheels.  Retha was blessed with many blessings one of which was good health. Up until this past year when her health began to decline she still loved to sew, crochet, knit, embroidery, read and putter around the house. She loved going and watching her little darlings participate in sports.   She loved doing demolition and remodels. As gifts she had received tools and was often teased about getting a hard hat. She loved her home and had a special gift that made everyone who visited feel special and at home. She equally loved to get out and go. It was not unusual to arrive at her home to find her not there but the vacuum sweeper would be in the middle of the floor or some other project left undone because someone had come along and ask her to go somewhere with them.  Retha had no desire to learn to drive an automobile but that didn't stop her from going. She cherished her memories of adventures traveling to many places throughout the years with family and friends. Her greatest love though was her family.  She was a selfless soul, willing to stop whatever she was doing to help another; always putting others needs and wants before her own.  Retha was the youngest daughter and 3rd to the youngest of 9 siblings who along with their parents are rejoicing with her once again.  Cora Murphy, Bud Gerrity, Anna Craig, Edna Combs.
