Richard "Dick" Lee Rooze , 86, of West Lafayette, died, Thursday, July 29, 2021. He was born, September 4, 1934, in Lafayette, to the late Rena & Marie (Mills) Rooze. He married, Mary (Ginther) Rooze, June 7, 1975, in Montmorenci; she survives. He was a 1952 graduate of Montmorenci High School. He had worked as a carpenter for Kerkhoff Associates. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. Dick was an avid Chicago Cubs & Purdue Sports fan. He enjoyed playing softball, golf, bowling & dartball. He loved spending time with family & friends & watching his grandkids play sports.

Dick is survived by his wife, Mary Rooze, 7 Children, Carolee Doeden, Cindy David (Husband, Jim), Mike Rooze (Wife, Cathy), Randy Rooze, Debbie Summers (Husband, Greg), Donna Wiley (Husband, Eric) & Doug Leslie, 12 Grandchildren, 33 Great-Grandchildren & 2 Brothers, Jerry Rooze (Wife, Carol) & Gene Rooze. He is preceded in death by, Daughter, Dinah Lou Leslie, Son-in-Law, Dennis Doeden, Grandson, Brent Alan Doeden & Sister-in-Law, Pat Rooze.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 10 AM until time of services at 12 PM, at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 405 East Oxford Street, Otterbein, with Pastor Gary Sims officiating. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Otterbein United Methodist Church Building fund.
