Robert Earl Hanshew, Jr., 67, of Fowler, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026. Born on March 13, 1959, in Rockingham, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Robert and Mary Hanshew and Frances Brown.

On March 22, 1980, Bob married the love of his life, Kimberly Ann (Wicker) Hanshew, in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning a marriage filled with love, partnership and family.

A 1977 graduate of Butler High School in Butler, Missouri, Bob went on to earn a degree in Electronics at Nevada Vo-Tech School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1977 to 1983, as a Weapons Mechanic.

Throughout his career, Bob worked for Ludlow-Saylor in Warrenton, Missouri, and Screenco, Inc. in Elmhurst, Illinois, before pursuing his dream as an entrepreneur. His passion, determination and expertise eventually led him to build a successful business and a lasting legacy that will continue through his family.

Bob was the proud owner and operator of Screen Tech, Inc. in Fowler, Indiana, where he worked side by side with his daughter, Aimee and son, Jason. They will continue running the business he built, carrying forward his dedication, hard work, and legacy. Above all else, Bob cherished his family and took immense pride in each of them. He loved spending time on the water; boating, skiing, and wakeboarding, as well as enjoying rounds of golf and adventures in his side-by-sides. Never one to sit still, Bob could often be found climbing on screening machines, doing what he loved and staying connected to the work that defined much of his life.

His passion for family, business and adventure will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Bob is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Kim; his daughters, Aimee (Brandon) Bell and Barbie (Seth) Johnson; and his son, Jason (Courtney) Hanshew. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to eight cherished grandchildren: Payton, Parker & Preston Bell; Jeremy Hanshew; and Harley, Brentley, Lincoln & Jaxson Hanshew. Bob was also blessed to become a great-grandfather to Walker Henry Ray Bell and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of another great-grandson due later this summer.

Bob is also survived by his siblings, Kathy, Jeff and Brad Hanshew; Scott and Cathy Wicker; Catherine Brent and Tony Makin. He leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor and endless support.

A Celebration of Bob's life will take place from 1-7 pm on Friday, June 26th at Bob & Kim's home.
