Ronald Lee Winchester , 72, of Oxford, died Monday, August 12, 2024. He was born, July 15, 1952, in Lafayette to the late Ralph & Phyllis (Thompson) Winchester Watson. He was a 1970graduate of Benton Central High School. He had formerly worked at FMC & was owner & operator of Ronniesons, in Oxford. Ron was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corp, from 1971 until 1978; earning the rank of Sergeant. He enjoyed playing pool, traveling, hitchhiking & porch therapy.

Ron is survived by 3 Sons, Travis Winchester, Adam (Angela) Winchester & Troy (Kayla) Winchester, Daughter, Amy (Richard) Jones, 6 Grandchildren, Jasmine, Colton, Ryland, Keagan, Arianna & Adair, His Granddogs, 3 Sisters, Virginia Stetler, Debbie Logsdon & Mary (Matt) Shuee, 3 Brothers, Estle "Pete" (Lori) Winchester, Stephen Winchester & Michael Winchester & numerous Nieces & Nephews. Ron is preceded in death by Sister, Glenna Claire & Brother, Lester Winchester.

A Celebration of Ron's Life will be, Monday, August 19, 2024 from 10 AM until 12 PM, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein. Burial will immediately follow at Oxford West Cemetery.
