Russell Harman , 96, of Otterbein, died, Monday, December 5, 2022. He was born October 31, 1926, in Yates Center, KS to the late Charles L. & Tressa (Terrell) Harman. He served in the United States Army, as a MP in the Philippines & Japan. He married Georgia (Hoach) Harman, April 9, 1948, in Burlington, KS; she died, March 11, 2016. In 1953, they moved to Indiana. Russell farmed in the areas of Otterbein, Kentland & Fowler; until retiring in 1991 & moving to Otterbein. Russell was involved very active with 4H, serving as a 4H leader & 4H Council Board. He was member of the Otterbein American Legion Martin Kennedy Post #125 & Benton County Pork Producers Association; serving as Secretary. He received the FHA Farm Family of the Year, in 1972 & the SWCD District Farming Award. He enjoyed spending time with his Family, farming & traveling.

Russell is survived by 2 Daughters, Connie Fisher & Alice Mattson, Son, Terry Harman, 12 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren & Brother, Paul Harman. He is preceded in death by a Grandson, Troy Harman, 2 Sisters, 2 Brothers & 2 Sons-in-Law, Dennis Fisher & Gary Mattson.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 11 AM until the time of services at 1 PM, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein. Burial will be at Boswell Cemetery, with Military Honors by Otterbein American Legion Martin Kennedy Post #125.
