Russell "Sonny" Lowell Moore, Jr , 80, of Pendleton & formerly of Boswell, died, Sunday, October 2, 2022. He was born, October 30, 1941, in Boswell, to the late Russell L. & Laura C. (Pratt) Moore. He was a 1960 graduate of Ambia High School. He married, Cheryl A. (Horner) Moore, March 30, 1963, in Cookstown, NJ; she survives. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960 until 1964. He had worked as a RV technician. He attended the Tab Church of Christ. Sonny was a member & past Commander of the Boswell American Legion Post #476, member of the 40/8 Voiture 755 & a lifetime member & Past President of the Parkertown Volunteer Fire Co., Parkertown, NJ.

Sonny is survived by his Wife, Cheryl Moore, 2 Sons, Jeffrey L. (Caroline) Moore & Ronald J. ( Michele) Moore, 6 Grandchildren, Katie, Jeffrey, Ronnie, Drax, Kai & Teagann, 3 Great- Grandchildren, Kayden, Gracie & Logan, 2 Brothers, C. Almer Moore & Samuel L. Moore, Sister, Bonnie K. Wilson & numerous Nieces & Nephews. He is preceded in death by 2 Sisters, Carolyn E. Moore & Connie R. Weston.

Graveside Services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Locust Grove Cemetery, 8362 North 600 West, Ambia, IN  47917, with Rod Andrews officiating. Military Honors provided by Boswell American Legion Post #476. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Boswell American Legion Post #476 or the 40/8 Voiture 755.
