Shirley A. Burton , 80, of Oxford, died, Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was born, February 5, 1941, in Lafayette, to the late Jess & Dorothy (Sturgeon) Clark. She was a 1959 graduate of Boswell High School. Shirley married Richard E. Burton, January 4, 1986, in Oxford; he survives. She had worked for several years for Arnett Health. Shirley was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church, where she was extremely active in multiple groups & projects. She enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, cooking & camping.

Surviving with her Husband, Richard, are 2 Sons, Brad & Robert Scott, 3 Grandchildren, Michael Burton, Cody Garcia (Carlos) & Angilena Gardner (Jake), 2 Great-Grandson, Elliot Dean Lee Garcia & Christian Eugene O'Neil & Sister, Pam Clark Switzer (Jim). She is preceded in death by her Daughter, Annette Rae Scott Lively & 2 Sisters, Patricia Ann Clark Leuck & Gloria Jean Clark Finley.

Visitation to Celebrate Shirley's Life will be, Saturday, June 26, 2021, from 9:30 AM until the time of Memorial Service at 11 AM, at the Oxford United Methodist Church, 215 South Howard Street, Oxford, with Pastor Linda Sproull officiating.
