Stephen Duane Mills , 72, of Lafayette, died, Tuesday, February 4, 2020. He was born, March 13, 1947, in Winchester, IN, to Helen (Murrell) Franklin & the late Alva L. Mills. He received his Bachelor degree in Business from Purdue University, in 1970. He married Carolyn Sue (Reas) Mills, in 1968, she preceded him in death. He married, Della (Short) Mills, January 5, 1999, in Maui, Hawaii; she survives. He had worked for Landis+Gyr, for 43 years; retiring in 2014. Steve enjoyed music, playing the drums, traveling, one-liners; he was a Punny guy, listening to the Gaither Gospel Group, Purdue Basketball & Football & was an avid Golfer. He also had a love of convertibles.

Surviving with his Wife, Della, are 2 Sons, Aaron (Susan) Mills, Twin Lakes, WI & Travis (Julie) Mills, Lafayette, Mother, Helen Franklin, 5 Step-Daughters, Angela (Jerry) Crowe, Chris (Peter) Lawrence, Beth (Leon) Hessong, Stephanie (Craig) Martin & Heather (Chris) Fleeger. Steve & Della shared many Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his 1st Wife, Carolyn Sue Mills & Father, Alva L. Mills.

In accordance with Steve's wishes, there will be no services. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, is assisting Steve's Family.
