Wanda L. Rhodes , 94, of Boswell, died Saturday, November 23, 2024. She was born, January 7, 1930, in Talbot, IN to the late Frank J. & Lola B. (Cheney) Matthews. She married, Robert E. Rhodes, June 8, 1947, at the Boswell United Methodist Church; he preceded her in death, October 24, 2000. She attended Boswell High School. She attended Boswell Free Methodist Church. Wanda had done many things during her lifetime in Boswell. She was in the 1st class to take title of the Boswell Community Ambulance Service. She was part of the Young at Hearts band & had also received the Marvin Barnett Award. She was a person of many trades.

Wanda is survived by her 3 Children, Linda (Bill) Brickler, Louise Furr & Dennis (Gale) Rhodes, 3 Grandchildren, Damon (Julie) Brickler, Aimee (Eric) Highland & Brian (Ashlee) Furr, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Tori (Fiancé, Austyn) Highland, Kasie Highland, William J. Hyndman III & Elizabeth Rhodes & 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren, Kai & Calla. She is preceded in death by her Siblings, Arthur Boyd Matthews, Emarene Miller Abolt, Betty L. Van Meter & Berneil Duffy Fontaine, Son-in-Law, Johnny D. Furr, Grandson, Kyle M. Rhodes, Granddaughter, Renee M. Furr Hyndman & Great-Granddaughter, Alexandria Renee Hyndman.

Visitation will be, Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 10 AM until the time of services at 12 PM, at the Boswell Free Methodist Church, 402 S. Old US Highway 41, Boswell, with Pastor Bethany Abbott & Pastor Gary Sims officiating. Burial will be at Boswell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boswell Free Methodist Church. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, is assisting Wanda's Family.
