Wayne Alexander Snedden , 86, of Fowler, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, September 1, 2018. He was born, December 26, 1931, in Oak Forest, IL, to the late William Thomas & Elsie (Lindsay) Snedden. He married Deanna (Kuykendall) Snedden; she survives. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. Wayne was a member & past Post Commander of the Oak Forest, IL, VFW Post 4241 & a member of the Oak Forest, IL, Masonic Lodge #832. He was an avid race fan, a Chicago Bears fan & also enjoyed horses.

Surviving with his Wife, Deanna, are a Daughter, Candi (Kevin) Elliott, 4 Sons, Wayne (Ann) Snedden, Kirk (Gayle) Snedden, Carl (Sue) Snedden & Paul (Connie) Snedden, 16 Grandkids, David (Danielle) Snedden, Joshua (Morgan) Snedden, Jennifer L. (Robert D.) Snedden-Fitler, Justin K. (Emily S.) Snedden, Ryan (Natalie) Elliott, Jake (Aaron) Elliott, Joe (Maddy) Snedden, Houston Snedden, Michael Snedden, Nick Strba, Travis Strba, Sheri (Alan) Brozovich, Ashley Thatcher, Samuel Snedden, Grace Snedden and  Kelsey Snedden, 7 Great Grandkids, Exodus R. Drexler, Titus J. Drexler, Cyrus G. Drexler, Taytem C. Snedden, Maclynn Elliott, Josie Elliott, and Avie Elliott.

Along with his wife Deanna , Wayne  shared his home and love with many of his children and grandchildren's friends as if they were their own.  Gail Rapinchuk Beauchamp, Chuck Lee, Tomas Araujo, Nic Cordero, Keith Shaw, Barry Hudson and many others. In his last few years he found a kindred spirits in Chris Benner and the two became great friends.

He is preceded in death by 3 Brothers Lindsay, Donald and William Jr., 4 Sisters, Thelma, Shirley, Beverly and Elsie Mae.

Wayne was a great story teller and found his riches with his family and friends. He considered himself a very wealthy man. A way to remember Wayne is to toast him with a shot of Early Times.
